Hello RDDI Families,
Our 9th annual recital is just around the corner, and we are so proud of our dancer’s continuous growth and all the hard work put into their routines. Since this will be our last newsletter of the season, below are May and June’s student of the month, and a few important details. PLEASE READ!
May’s Student of the Month
Congratulations Emma!!!! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Emma this month and she has such great work ethic :) She’s hard working, prepared and has a positive attitude during class. I love that she’s up for anything and takes initiative to work on her craft. I’ve loved getting to work with you. Congratulations and keep up the amazing work!!!! ~Ms. Jessica
June’s Student of the Month
Congratulations Dia!!!! Dia is new to RDDI this season and has grown so much since she began in January. It is never easy to begin something when the others have had 4 months of practice but her positive attitude and eagerness to learn allowed her to pick up the choreography and excel. Dia always comes to class with a smile on her face and her loving energy that is so contagious. Congratulations and keep up the amazing work!!!! ~Ms. Daniela
Promo of the Month
June’s promo of the month is Buy 5 recital tickets and get your 6th one FREE! Since we will be at a new venue this season with a proper theatre, we want our dancers to feel supported by filling the theatre with as many people as we can. The theatre seats 650 people therefore there will be no limit on how many tickets you can buy, and tickets will be available as of today, Monday June 5th, 2023.
Ticket Sales- Sunday June 18, 2023
Tickets will be $25 each, HST included, and are available for purchase as of today, Monday June 5th, 2023. Since it is theatre style seating you will be able to select your seats and all purchases are non- refundable. We will be accepting cash, cheques, or e-transfers as payment options, but all accounts must be paid in full to purchase tickets. We will not be selling tickets at the door so the last day to purchase any will be Saturday June 17, 2023 at 12pm.
Recital DVD Sales
Attached is a DVD order form. Only one half needs to be filled out and returned by Saturday June 17, 2023. NO LATE ORDERS WILL BE ACCECPTED.

We will be recognizing our returning students at the beginning of the show and below is a list of those students:

We will also be recognizing dancers that have had perfect attendance. This is something that is very rare and much appreciated by all the teachers, and we believe the dancers deserve to be rewarded for their commitment. I will be sending an email on Thursday June 15th, 2023 if your child qualifies for perfect attendance and they will also be recognized at the beginning each show.
Year End Showcase/ Rehearsal
Since we will have the theatre as of 12:15pm and it is a new space to our dancers, we would like to have a quick stage rehearsal, before the show begins. Below is a list of each dance that will be rehearsing on stage and what time the dancers will need to arrive.Parents/guests will not be allowed into the theatre until 1:45pm, therefore you can drop your child off and come back.
12:15pm- Burlesque Jazz/ Adult Tap/ Emma/ Brianna/Sr. Ballet
12:45pm- Wed Musical Theatre/ Lyrical/ Mia/ Hanna Ballet/ Sophia Ballet/ Madelyne Ballet/ Georgina Pointe
1pm- Junior Ballet/ Abilities
1:15pm- Kinder Ballet/Kinder Tap/Monday Acro
If your child is in less than 4 dances, they are able to watch the show for free in the assigned area, but you will have to sign them in when you arrive, and are responsible for them once they are done dancing. Like every season we will have a finale where the dancers can all come on stage for a final dance party so, if possible, please stay until the end and join us in one final dance and for a chance to win a $150 RDDI gift certificate.
